We had a great meeting on How Military and Police Dogs keep us safe at the Military and Veterans History Group meeting on June 26th, in the DeMayo Room.
Following a PowerPoint presentation on military and police dogs featuring Connecticut's own Stubby from WWI who saved a regiment from surprise mustard gas attacks, found and comforted the wounded and once caught a German soldier by the seat of his pants.
The PowerPoint also showed how Officer Kevin McGuire of the East Haven Police Department and his canine partner Ace keep East Haven safe, by showing a number of their accomplishments. Thank you for the interesting and informative presentation - many questions were asked by the group!
